There are many signs that indicate the passage of time. Signs of skin laxity, deep folds, wrinkles that are becoming all the more pronounced…

Hyaluronic acid is the most popular type of non-invasive aesthetic medicine used to add volume, to change the contour of the face, and to fill the wrinkles.

Typical injection sites for hyaluronic acid are the face, neck, hands, lips, eyes, the nasomalar lines, and the nose, with the end result being a fuller, smoother and more youthful appearance.

In my clinic I exclusively use Restylane hyaluronic acid, approved by the FDA, because it produces immediate results, involves no risks whatsoever and requires minimal recovery time due to the ergonomic design of the injection process offered by Restylane.

How to know if you need treatment with hyaluronic acid

  • If you have deep lines around the eyes, the eyebrows or the mouth.
  • If you would like to change the contour of your chin, your lips or your nose.
  • If you are interested in non-invasive treatments.
  • If you have scars and depressions in the skin resulting from acne, injury or congenital defects.

Hyaluronic acid is a fast, safe process of regaining and maintaining youthfulness, while its results are immediate and can satisfy all aesthetic needs.

Its only drawback is the lack of a permanent effect, while the application process of Restylane requires experience and specialization.

How the procedure is performed

Hyaluronic acid is administered by syringe into various areas of the face, and particularly around the eyes, along the jaw line around the lips and on the forehead. The number, position and depth of the injections largely depend on the type of hyaluronic acid used, so that we can have the desired effect.

Alternatively, injection may be performed by Microcannulas, a new atraumatic method which enables the doctor to sculpt the face without needles and “stings”. These are, essentially, two specialized types of flexible Microcannulas, designed for areas where greater precision is needed, especially the area around the eyes.

As mentioned above, hyaluronic acid can be applied atraumatically to the entire face and the lips with the use of a Microcannula, due to its elasticity and its blunt tip compared with the needles.

The result is much more uniform. A further advantage of the injection of hyaluronic acid with Microcannulas that we can spread a thin layer of hyaluronic so that the skin can regain lost elasticity and hydration, in other words perform a kind of deep mesotherapy, always without needles. This can be done in any area, even in regions with many vessels (such as eyes, forehead, temporal region, lips), which would otherwise be avoided due to the high risk of edemas.
